Our beautiful Indian hardwood collection is constructed with sheesham, mango and acacia wood. Each Indian hardwood piece is handcrafted and joined using the ancient techniques of northwestern India to create a truly unique piece of furniture. The colors, textures, tone, and grain of each item is unique while the skill that goes into creating these pieces gives them a beautiful, rustic appearance and solid construction that will last for generations. No two pieces are alike making the furniture you purchase, one-of-a-kind.

All our Indian hardwood furniture is created using fair train and certified sustainable wood to help protect the world’s forests. Each piece is handcrafted, right down to the hardware and hinges, by skilled craftsmen.

Acacia Story: Acacia is prized for its durability, moisture resistance and solidity. Acacia trees are fast-growing and survive well in tropical regions. This also means that after an acacia tree has been felled to produce furniture, it can be quickly replaced in a sustainable manner.

Eco-friendly acacia is a traditional hardwood similar to sheesham and is renowned for its beautiful variegated grain patterns and rich color. It is incredibly hard and very heavy which makes it ideal for bearing the wears and tears of modern family life. The heartwood is reddish brown in color, while the sapwood is yellowish-white. The kiln-dried wood is easy to work with for carpenters and the texture of the wood allows for a smooth fine finish. Furniture made from beautiful, solid acacia wood will last for many years.

Mango Story: Mango is a beautiful, eco-friendly dense hardwood native to South East Asia. All of our mango wood furniture product is harvested through sustainable, fast-growing tree plantations. After bearing fruit for many years, old fruitless trees are cut down and new trees are planted to take their place. Manufacturing wood products from old mango trees provides additional revenue for mango farmers, which in turn supports local communities.

Durable and as dense as ash or cherry wood, mango wood has a rich color that varies in tone from deep mahogany brown to tawny tan. It has an elegant, interlocking “tiger’s eye” grain that makes it very sturdy. Our beautiful mango wood timber is kiln dried and treated to ensure a long lasting, durable piece of furniture for your home.

Sheesham Story: Sheesham wood, also known as Indian Rosewood, is an eco-friendly deciduous tree, native to the Indian Subcontinent. Second only to Brazilian Cherry as the hardest wood in the world, sheesham has a beautiful irregular grain structure which is very distinctive in appearance.

All our sheesham wood is sustainably sourced through government managed plantations. It is methodically kiln-dried and treated to protect future stability. Our hand joined furniture is crafted from both the dark heartwood and the lighter-colored sapwood of the tree, and an environmentally friendly stain is applied to obtain a beautiful, consistent finish. Because it is hand finished from an entirely natural product, variations in knots, grain detailing, mineral deposits and minor imperfections may sometimes occur. This is considered part of the uniqueness and charm of owning a one-of-a-kind sheesham piece.
